![]() God of War Ragnarok was originally announced during a PlayStation 5 Showcase. Ragnarok, among countless other games, had their release dates affected by this. The COVID-19 pandemic shook the industry, with new remote working models coming in to effect, which changed the landscape of the development process. The game was originally expected to release last year in 2021, but that did not occur. Given the year that was 2020 (and then 2021), and the ongoing global pandemic, we find ourselves in a situation where God of War Ragnarok recieved some delays. While there was a lot of speculation and rumors suggesting the game would be pushed to 2023, we've finally got official confirmation that the next chapter in Kratos' story will arrive this November. Developer Sony Santa Monica announced the date with the 'Father and Son' cinematic trailer that dropped in July. The highly anticipated sequel to 2018’s Game of the Year is drawing a whole lot of buzz, especially for those that payed close attention to the story in the original.
